Temple of Dawn (wat Arun), Your First Love

    As many times as I have gone back to Bangkok for training or in transit, I always find myself drawn back to the simply amazing Temple of Dawn ( Wat Arun). The temple is set perfectly along the bank of the river. With long tail boats zooming by. The reason I love it so? Its this is the absolute first temple I visited many years ago on my first trip to Thailand. This has created almost a relationship dynamic with this place. 

    When I arrive in Thailand I have to go visit and say hello. I feel as tho I would be missing the amazing Temple of Dawn. Anytime I have more than a day in Bangkok I make a trip over. feel like its a place that gives some sort of blessing or good luck on my travels from that point on.

  An interesting fact about my journeys. I have never had the opportunity to scale the steep steps of the temple. Maybe the temple wants to leave something for me to always come back to. I have gone so many time and they have been reconditioning parts of this stunning temple. I have visited on the brink of rain and severe thunder and lightning storms so they close off the steps.

    So if you are in Bankok be sure to check out my first love in Thailand. No matter Time of day you visit you will not be disappointed. Sun up to sundown and even at night. The temple is illuminated with the perfect lighting for amazing night time photos.
