   The Infamous Soi Cowboy. The soi (street)was given its name by longtime nightlife columnist Bernard Trink, after the late T. G. “Cowboy” Edwards, a retired American airman who opened one of the first bars there in 1977. Edwards got his nickname because he often wore a cowboy hat. To be honest I have stopped here twice now and never even stopped for a drink.

   The area is packed and the street is really not that big.Now that I am doing this site I will return to experience the area better . o stay tuned for a better Idea what this little sliver of Bangkok had to offer!
