s21 Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

This video is from my visit to Phnom Penh, in September of 2018. no words can describe the feelings I had walking through this place. The experience is one that I will never forget. Once was known as Tuol Svay Pray High School, now known infamously as S21. The location of tortures and imprisonment of an estimated 20,000 people! Of those 7 are known to have made it out with their lives. Prisoners at S-21 were usually held for weeks and months for grueling interrogations before they were taken out for execution.
This killing Camp was used by the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979. It is said there were more than 150 camps set u just like this one. Made for interrogating people of education and people that were thought to oppose what the Khmer Rouge was doing. One word from a tortured friend or even family member and you were the next one to be picked up, blindfolded and brought to s21. You would endure a few months of torture if needed before you confessed to something, anything! and then you were taken off to the killing fields to be killed. Nearing the end of the Regime, even high ranking members of the Khmer Rouge was imprisoned, tortured and killed at S21. Please watch this video and share. Thank you!
